Half brown and half ecru large blanket with raw edges. Black handstitch in the middle.
This canvas fabric is handwoven with handspun cotton growing in Magwe region in Myanmar. Spinning and weaving are mecanical processes only done by hand. Ecru part is natural cotton color. Brown part is twisted natural brown cotton yarn and natural dyed earthy tone yarn.
Cotton seeds are brushed out of the yarn manually. However, some of them remain in the fabric and are visible.
This blanket is made out two pieces of fabric handstitched together with Chin traditional know-how.
